OUR PASTOR

 

Pastor Dace Clifton believes there is nothing more important than knowing and following Jesus. He has a passion to help others grow in their faith through discipleship. He has been married to the love of his life, Jacque, for over 20 years. They have two children.  Prior to coming to FBC, Dace spent over 10 years working as a police officer for the city of Arlington, Texas. Dace ran from God's call on his life for several years. Then, in 2011 he left his law enforcement career to serve as the senior pastor of First Baptist Church Hico. Dace holds an M.Div and Ph.D. in Preaching and Pastoral Ministry from Southwestern.  He is a family man who loves adventure, travel, hunting, and anything related to the mountains.  Feel free to contact him at: dace212000@yahoo.com

 

OUR STAFF

 

We could not do what we do without a caring church staff.  Our church staff serves the church body in several areas.

 

Associate Minister

Stanton Blackburn is our Associate Minister.  He works with children, youth, and senior adults in several capacities.  He has a love for God and a passion to share the faith with the next generation. You would be hard-pressed to find a man who has a greater servant's heart than Stanton. 

 

Student Minister

Matt Squires is our Student Minister.  Student ministry is a big part of FBC. Matt has several years of experience in student ministry and a passion to reach high school and junior high students with the gospel.  He coordinates numerous area-wide youth ministries and events.  Matt focuses on evangelism, discipleship, and outreach.

 

Worship Leader

Brittany Squires is our Worship Leader. She leads our worship team each week during our corporate services. She is an extremely gifted musician with a servant's heart.  

 

Administrative Assistant

Janie Holderman is our administrative assistant.  She keeps the church office running smoothly and ensures that administrative tasks are taken care of.  She does an excellent job making sure our staff has the things needed to lead in ministry.

 

R.A.N.C.H. Director 

Marylin Lee is the director of our state-licensed childcare ministry.  She oversees several additional childcare staff ensuring that children are cared for in a safe, clean, and Christ-honoring environment.
